The ‘Unfinished Business’ Series by Joseph Anthony Connor FRSA
In 2015, famous and not so famous inhabitants of Wales treked 90 miles across the mountains of Patagonia. They did this in aid of Velindre: the specialist cancer treatment Centre located in Cardiff who treat over 5000 new referrals and 50,000 new out-patients per year.
The paintings below were inspired by those involved in the trek who raised £500,000 for Velindre.
To those who know Joseph’s work the paintings may appear more abstract than his usual style. This is purposeful. It is meant to reflect the unfinished business of finding a cure for cancer, and that our relationship with cancer is probably incomplete: 43% of the males and 38% of females reading this are likely to make direct use of cancer care services.
The paintings are to be sold to the highest online bidders. The successful bidders will be informed by email on 28 February.
In bidding, please accept our sincere thanks for your consideration. Please place your bid before 4pm, Saturday 27th February.
A reception will be held for Bidders / Trek participants / Velindre supporters between 1 and 3 pm the 27th of February at the gallery in Cardifft. To book a place please register your interest by clicking HERE.
