Marsden’s work over the last 35 years has continued to respond to his subject matter through a broad range of media. These range from installation into more traditional approaches, including watercolour, printmaking and the like. Upgrading visual language has remained a constant interest with him.
He has pieces in collections throughout the UK and an exhibition history taking in major and lower profile galleries across Great Britain and Europe. BBC and HTV television have both shown documentaries, highlighting aspects of his work.
Recent projects were focused on portraiture, fusing Victorian attitudes with modern technology, and graphically observed figure groupings on the beach at Tenby.
Currently his subject matter has come back to his local natural environment, its history, changes and usage, both positive and negative.
