Sarah Young
Sarah Young was born in Pembrokeshire and graduated in Fine Art from
University College of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1995. Since then she has exhibited widely across Wales.
‘My paintings are created from my spiritual and aesthetic explorations of my homeland and how it touches my imagination. My work is not an imitation of the landscape it is an interpretation. I usually paint directly at the scene or make studies in my sketchbook of anything that has captured my attention. I feel the landscape surrounding me contains subject matter I can never be tired of as it is constantly evolving due to gradual and dramatic environmental changes’.
